Blurb: Zorian, a mage in training, only wanted to finish his education in peace. Now he struggles to find answers as he finds himself repeatedly reliving the same month. 'Groundhog Day' style setup in a fantasy world.

Review: A fantasy style Groundhog Day summarises this book decently well. The work is self-published, the book long, and the fantasy world it's based in is large. Unlike the norm for series this long, this book is mainly presented through a single character's point of view, where thanks to the setting the plot is given time to wander without growing stale. I loved how the main character, Zorian, was written, but it's in the plot and the magic system where this book thrives. It has the time to flesh out a somewhat scientific approach to many different types of magic, creating a well-defined unique magic system. There's some real creativity in the universe too, with whole races like the Aranea being beautifully unique without being vague.

I did have small issues with the ending, in that it was a bit abrupt and I think could have done with some more closure. This may be because of a planned sequel though. Regardless, the book is a massive recommend if you're in the market for long unique fantasy series. It was my first reading of a web-novel and is largely responsible for me getting into the format.
