Blurb: Anna Chiu has her hands pretty full looking after her brother and sister and helping out at her dad’s restaurant, all while her mum stays in bed. Dad’s new delivery boy, Rory, is a welcome distraction and even though she knows that things aren’t right at home, she’s starting to feel like she could just be a normal teen.

But when Mum finally gets out of bed, things go from bad to worse. And as Mum’s condition worsens, Anna and her family question everything they understand about themselves and each other.

Review: People have problems. This book does a fantastic job of showing that. It shows the difficulties associated with mental health, both with acknowledging and handling it. Anna's a great lens to show the entire story through, and it adds to the realism of the story. So, I really wasn't the target audience for this book, but I'm pretty happy I read it. Snooping through people's Goodreads lists that have a small but positive overlap seems to be a way to find stuff you'd normally never notice. Million dollar prediction: This will become a staple in Australian high school English class. Twenty Dollar statement: I recommend it.
