Blurb: (From Book 1) After being betrayed and cursed by an extremely rare spell, Oren, a powerful and influential player, finds himself as a 1st level Goblin!
Without even a fraction of his previous power, he vows to pull through and have revenge on those who betrayed him.
His thorough knowledge of the game's world and his unique ability to immerse himself entirely are his only advantages.
But first, he must figure out how to survive long enough playing what is basically a low-level fodder monster!

Review: This series is kind of akin to The Completionist Chronicles. The back-story isn't the strongest, the writing isn't the best, and the plot feels pretty contrived at times, but it's still fun when you sum up all of its parts.

The series does a good job managing a civilisation building type genre with classical adventure, and I honestly love the monster vs humanity set-up. The first few books were stronger than the last few, but I think the current story trajectory is solid, and they should continue to remain fun without feeling overlong.

Setting the fantasy world inside of a computer game seems to be becoming a formula nowadays. If you're deep into LitRPG and looking for more stuff to read, then I think this might tickle your fancy, but there's definitely better books out there, which scratch the same itch.

Update: Just finished the series, something ended up drawing me back. I think the reason the later books weren't as solid was because of how the weak real-world premise needed to be tied back into the story, and that a fair few characters that weren't supposed to be one dimensional AI essentially were. The author didn't make the series drag on though, so the previous summary still pretty much sums it up.
